Club and League Announcements
10th March 2010 - If you've not been up the Club for a few weeks, you're in for a big surprise! Thanks to the 'sterling' efforts of a number of Club members, the refurbishment of the existing scorebox and dressing rooms has progressed significantly. Special mention has to go to Nigel Gale and Chris and Mick Bourne, who have been working up the Club every weekend since early October 2009. Well done guys, and thank-you on behalf of all other Club members.
Now, if you've not helped out so far, it's your turn to get involved. Volunteers are required over the coming weekends to complete the refurbishment - so please do your bit for your club and get yourself along to help out on any Saturday or Sunday (or indeed both) between now and the end of March. The working party will be there between 9am and 1pm on each day.
As players we're all going to enjoy the facilities when they're complete so let's pull together and lend a hand. Members of the 1st team squad will be there in numbers on Saturday March 6th so your support is required on all other days.
Work has also been going on with the playing area too. Ken Skelding has spent many an hour building a super picket fence from reclaimed wood. Many thanks to you too Ken. Frank Woodhall, our head groundsman, has also been busy tending to the playing area - lots of work has already been put in on preparing the practice wickets and the square, running water and electricity mains to the square and practice area, and even the cutting of the outfield (and we're still over 7 weeks away from the start of the season). Thanks also to Frank.
There's plenty still to do which we're all benefit from including notably the erection of new sight screens at the 'Church End'.
It's now up to the rest of us to get behind these guys and lend a hand. Come on, lets get to it.

1st February 2010 - With the 2009 season behind us we can now all get prepared for 2010, much has changed at the Glebe over the past 6 months with mammoth efforts being put into the erection of new changing rooms, showers, score box and training areas, this is surely the biggest undertaking the club has seen in the past 20 years and all made possible by the exceptional volunteers that keep the club moving forward, hopefully we shall have some pictures to follow when all is completed ready for May.
